Consular Representative to Hold Appointments for U.S. Citizens in Saint Lucia, March 25, 2026

 

A Consular Officer from the U.S. Embassy will visit Saint Lucia to accept applications by appointment only for U.S. passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad.  We would like to remind everyone that this visit will not include visa issues, and we will be unable to address visa questions or discuss visa cases.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL APPLICATIONS FOR PASSPORTS AND REPORTS OF BIRTH ABROAD MUST BE PRE-PAID ONLINE.  WE CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT BANK DRAFTS OR OTHER FORMS OF PAYMENT. PAYMENT DIRECTIONS ARE BELOW. 

  

  1. WHEN AND WHERE:  

Limited, routine appointments in Tortola will be held at Lantana Conference Room at the Bay Gardens Hotel on the Rodney Bay Highway next to Indies Nightclub

  1. HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT:   

 Each applicant must have an appointment. Schedule your appointment at https://bb.usembassy.gov/consular-outreach-visits-for-u-s-citizen-services.

 

Important: We are unable to assist walk-ins or other persons who accompany individuals with appointments.  

  

  1. WHAT TO BRING: 

All applicants must bring: 

  • Two passport-size photos (2” x 2”);    
  • Original proof of U.S. citizenship such as previous U.S. passport, U.S. birth certificate, U.S. Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or U.S. naturalization certificate; and a social security card; 
  • A prepaid air waybill (FedEx or DHL) to have the new passport mailed back to you; 
  • Printed proof of online payment. See #4 How to Pay below; 
  • **Originals AND photocopies of all documents, including a copy of the passport you are renewing**   

 

Important: Applicants may not wear eyeglasses in passport photos. See https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/forms.html for complete photo requirements. 

 

Children Under 16 must also have: 

  • All documents listed above PLUS; 
  • The child’s birth certificate;  
  • Both parents’ passports or other identification;  
  • Photos showing the child’s development from the last passport issuance. 
  • For a child under age 16, if both parents are listed on the birth certificate, BOTH parents must appear in person with the child OR a signed, notarized Form DS-3053: Statement of Consent from the non-applying parent/guardian must be submitted; 
  • **Originals AND photocopies of all documents, including copies of child’s passport and parents’ identification**

  1. HOW TO PAY:

FEES ARE PAYABLE ONLINE PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT ONLY. WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT BANK DRAFTS, CASH OR CREDIT CARDS, OR OTHER SAME-DAY PAYMENT. WE WILL NOT ISSUE ANY CHANGE OR REFUNDS. 

 

Online Payment 

Fees must be paid online. Once payment is complete, print out and bring a copy of your payment confirmation email to your appointment.   

 

Fees are:   

  • Child’s passport (under age 16):  US$135   
  • First adult passport (16+):  US$165   
  • Consular Report of Birth Abroad:  US$100   
  • Notarial services:  US$50 per signature   

  

If you are renewing a 10-year passport issued less than 15 years ago and can present your expired passport, you may apply by mail directly to the Embassy. The fee is US$130.  If you cannot present a previous 10-year passport issued less than 15 years ago, you must appear in person for an interview with the Consular Officer. The fee for this service is US$165.
