Demonstration Alert: Spain, Protests Expected Nationwide April 25

Demonstrations are expected to take place on April 25 in various cities throughout Spain.  

In Madrid the demonstration is planned for 11:00 am in the Plaza de Callao, and in Barcelona at 12:00 pm in the Pla de la Seu.

Additional demonstrations may occur on April 26.

Local authorities may increase security measures, including road closures, traffic restrictions, or increased police presence in areas where demonstrations occur.

Actions to Take:

  • Avoid demonstrations and crowds. 
  • Follow local media for updates. Be prepared to adjust your plans.    
  • Remain alert to your surroundings.
