Event: Transportation hubs, such as minibus stops and large bus depots, may be sites of conflict between groups vying to control transportation resources. Violent incidents have happened recently and could happen again. These areas may pose an increased risk of harassment or violence. U.S. government personnel are advised to avoid transportation hubs. U.S. citizens should avoid transportation hubs if possible and practice heightened vigilance if near them, as a passenger or passerby.
Actions to Take:
- Be aware of your surroundings
- Maintain a low profile
- Do not resist robbery attempts
- Travel in groups if possible
