Health Alert: Slovenia, Additional Border Crossings With Italy Open

U.S. Embassy Health Alert:  Covid-19 update (22 April) 

 


Dear American Citizen in Slovenia:

 

Borders

  • Two additional border crossings between Italy and Slovenia at Predel and Rateče have reopened to facilitate daily travel for local residents (carrying a special certificate) who have business on the other side of the border.  Both crossing points are open on all days except Sundays and holidays, from 0600-0900, and 1500-1800.  


Medical situation in Slovenia (as of 22 April):

  • There are currently 1,353 confirmed cases, with 79 fatalities. 
  • The number of hospitalized decreased to 86, of whom 24 are in intensive care.
