Weather Alert: U.S. Embassy Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (April 11, 2026)
Location: Puerto Plata, Espaillat and Other Provinces, Dominican Republic
Event: The Emergency Operations Center (COE) of the Dominican Republic has issued a red alert for Puerto Plata and Espaillat provinces due to strong storms and heavy rains. COE has also issued a yellow alert for 13 provinces and the National District, and a green alert for 9 additional provinces.
Remain current on weather, road, and water conditions through news sources and official Dominican government sources such as COE (Spanish) at http://www.coe.gob.do/ or via their mobile app “alertaCOE.”
