Health Alert: Jamaica, Curfew through April 8, Repatriation Possibilities

The Ministry of Health and Wellness of Jamaica has confirmed 44 cases of COVID-19 in Jamaica.

 

·        An island-wide curfew is in effect from April 1to April 8, 2020, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily.

·        Air and seaports are closed to arriving aircraft and ships, and many airlines have reduced or canceled flights from Jamaica to the United States. 

 

·        On March 31, Secretary of State Michael Pompeo urged U.S. citizens abroad who wish to return home to do so immediately and make arrangements to accomplish that.

 

·        The following is an updated list of commercial flights out of Jamaica to the United States.

·        American Airlines has scheduled a flight departing Kingston for Miami on April 7th.
