Event: On March 9, 2020, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported that there are 41 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lebanon.
The government of Lebanon has implemented enhanced screening and quarantine measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Travelers should be prepared for travel restrictions to be put into effect with little or no advance notice. Anyone arriving in Lebanon displaying symptoms of COVID-19 may be transferred to Rafik Hariri University Hospital for testing and possible quarantine. As a precautionary measure, schools in Lebanon will be closed until March 15, and the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism has asked bars and entertainment venues to temporarily close on a voluntary basis.
