Event: The U.S. Embassy will only be open for emergency services for U.S. citizens on Friday, January 16, 2026. The Cuban regime has called for an event in the plaza in front of the U.S. Embassy and access to the area will be restricted. The streets in the neighborhood surrounding the Embassy will be closed to all vehicle traffic.

- Avoid crowds.
- Be aware of heightened police presence as well as traffic detours and interruptions to transit.
