Message for U.S. Citizens:
Unannounced Border and Airport Closures (April 20, 2020)
Location:Nicaragua
Event: While the Nicaraguan government has not officially announced border restrictions, U.S. citizens in Nicaragua should be prepared for closures of land borders and airports with no warning and with indefinite duration. All commercial air service from Nicaragua to the United States remains suspended until at least early May. U.S. citizens in Nicaragua should be prepared to shelter in place.
The U.S. government does not anticipate arranging repatriation flights from Nicaragua at this time. You should fill out one form per passenger. If you have already filled out the form registering your interest, you do not need to do so again. If you are unable to fill out the form, please email ACSManagua@state.gov
