Event: At 3:00pm local time, Tropical Cyclone GEZANI was located 89km east of Toamasina (Tamatave), with sustained winds of 185km/h and gusts of 260km/h. The system is moving westward at 18km/h. The first eyewall has already reached the coast of ATSINANANA and ANALANJIROFO. Widespread flooding, flash floods, and landslides are highly likely. Tropical Cyclone GEZANI will cross the central highlands from east to west overnight and throughout Wednesday, before entering the Mozambique Channel between Maintirano and Morondava tomorrow evening or night. Please carefully follow the instructions issued by the local authorities.
