Health Alert: Countrywide (Colombia), Recall of ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula

Location: Colombia

Event: There has been a complete recall of ByHeart brand infant formula in the United States due to concerns about an outbreak of infant botulism. ByHeart formula is also available in Colombia.

Families are advised to avoid ByHeart infant formula and to seek alternative options.

Actions to Take: 

• The warning also extends to consumers outside the United States who may have bought the product online.  Be vigilant for any products that may have entered the country through unofficial channels.
• Visit the CDC  Travelers Health Page.
• Consult the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for country health advisories or call CDC   at 800-232-4636 or 404-639-3534.
