A demonstration is expected to take place on January 13, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m., in front of the U.S. Embassy in Lisbon. U.S. citizens are encouraged to avoid areas of demonstrations and exercise caution. Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and possibly escalate to violence.
