Event: Tropical Storm Dolores is forecast to strengthen to near hurricane strength as it approaches the coast of Colima and is expected to make landfall the afternoon of June 19 near Manzanillo. Heavy rains, strong winds, and turbulent surf are expected, which could cause life-threatening flash floods and landslides. Swells generated by Dolores are likely to cause life-threatening surf and riptides. In addition, a dangerous storm surge is expected to cause coastal flooding and will be accompanied by large and destructive waves.
