Event: Alert--Airline Flight Schedules
The U.S. Embassy has been informed that due to the decreased demand for international air travel in recent weeks, several carriers are reducing or suspending their flights from Bulgaria. Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, and Brussel Airlines are reducing their flights for the winter timetable (October 25, 2020 to March 27, 2021). Air France canceled their regular flights from Sofia to Paris during the winter months. British Airways is suspending its flights from Sofia to London, starting on November 4, 2020. A date for the resumption of service has not been announced. Other international commercial flight options continue to exist in Bulgaria.
