Events: The U.S. Embassy is aware of a scheduled protest on Saturday, March 28 beginning at 11:00 AM. Protesters are expected to gather near Plaza Perú and march to the U.S. Embassy.
The U.S. Embassy is also aware of scheduled protests on Sunday, March 29 commemorating “El Día del Joven Combatiente.” Historically, these protests have become violent. Public transportation may be disrupted or severely delayed, and roads may be closed or blocked with no notice. The Metropolitan Region areas most likely to be affected include:

- La Victoria in Pedro Aguirre Cerda
- Lo Hermida in Peñalolén
- Centro de Puente Alto and Bajos de Mena

- San Bernardo
