Event: At 07:00 local time, Tropical Cyclone GEZANI was located in the Ankazobe district. Current average wind speed is estimated at 80 km/h, with gusts of around 110 km/h near its center. It is moving westward at 22 km/h. GEZANI will cross the central highlands from east to west today, before moving out to sea into the Mozambique Channel, between Maintirano and Morondava, this evening or tonight. Storm-force winds, accompanied by heavy rain, are expected to continue. Widespread flooding, flash floods, and landslides are highly likely. Please carefully follow the instructions issued by local authorities.
