Demonstration Alert: Lima (Peru), Multiple Demonstrations in the Capital

This afternoon, February 4, 2022 at 3:00p.m. there will be a demonstration in front of the Ministry of Women's Issues (Jiron Camana 605). Tomorrow, February 5, 2022 at 3:00p.m. there will be a demonstration at Plaza San Martín with crowds expected to march throughout the city (to include Avenida Arequipa, Parque Kennedy/Miraflores, and Lince).  Other demonstrations may occur in Lima with little or no warning.

 Actions to Take:

• Avoid the area, crowds, and demonstrations.
• Monitor local media for updates. Movement restrictions may be changed unexpectedly and with very short notice.

• Carry a photo ID.
