The safety and security of Americans abroad is our number one priority.  We will continue to share crucial information you need to make informed decisions about your safety.  The U.S. Embassy in Amman, Jordan, is canceling all American Citizen Services appointments until further notice.

Please note that Jordanian authorities have ended the temporary closure of Jordanian airspace, previously in place daily from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. Please continue to follow local media and information from the Government of Jordan for any updates or changes to airspace status.

If it is safe to do so and you wish to depart Jordan, please consult directly with your airline or a travel agent to determine what options may currently be available.
