Location: Fort-de-France, Martinique, French West Indies

Event: There are reports of demonstrations and roadblocks taking place in the city center of Fort-de-France and throughout Martinique by citizens protesting health pass rules and COVID-19 vaccine mandates.  Local authorities have implemented a curfew between 7:00 pm and 5:00 am which will remain in place indefinitely.

Actions to Take:

  • Avoid the areas of the demonstrations.
  • Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
  • Monitor local media for updates.
  • Keep a low profile.
  • Notify friends and family of your safety.
