Security Alert: Panama City (Panama), Colon Unrest Subsides, Curfew Remains

Location: North of "Calle 16", Colon, Panama

Event: The previously reported unrest has subsided. A curfew remains in effect from 6PM to 6AM and security services maintain a substantial presence in the city.

U.S. Embassy Panama returned to its regular security posture.  The travel restriction has been lifted.  Embassy personnel are allowed to travel to Colon north of "Calle 16".

Actions to Take: Take normal precautions in the area of Colon north of "Calle 16".
