On March 16, the United States Embassy in Pristina reduced staffing and operations and cancelled routine American Citizen Services (ACS) appointments. Emergency consular services for U.S. citizens will continue to be available. To apply for an emergency passport, or if you have any other urgent matter, please contact PristinaACS@state.gov.
On March 19, the Department of State issued aGlobal Level 4 Health Advisory – Do Not Travel, due to the global impact of COVID-19. In countries where commercial departure options remain available, U.S. citizens who live in the United States should arrange for immediate return to the United States, unless they are prepared to remain abroad for an indefinite period. U.S. citizens who live abroad should avoid all international travel.
According to local authorities there are no commercial flights departing Pristina International Airport this week, 23-27 March. Please enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive Alerts and updates and make it easier to locate you in an emergency.
