Security Alert: Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, January 3, 2026

Location:  Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao

Event: Following the overnight U.S. military and law enforcement operation in Venezuela, the U.S. Consulate General Curaçao confirms no military activity has been reported in Aruba, Bonaire, or Curacao (the ABCs).  At present, there is no credible threat to the ABC islands.  As a precautionary measure, a new Notice to Airman (NOTAM) was released by the Federal Aviation Administration advising against flights in the ABC airspace for 24 hours (ending at 1 AM Sunday, January 4). Despite these travel disruptions, we do expect travel to resume.  Contact your airline to reschedule any missed flights.
