OSAC's Committee on Threats & Risk to Personnel & Assets produced an hourlong webinar, "Grace Under Pressure: Pragmatism & Planning in the Face of Pandemic," on March 25, 2020. The webinar featured engaging speakers and a chance for the private-sector security community to ask questions over the Zoom platform, discussing a topic that went beyond COVID-19.

Topics of discussion inclduded: How can security managers plan for operations during and following this worldwide disease outbreak? What lessons have security managers learned from their experiences with prior disease outbreaks? And how can we all use these experiences going forward, understanding that "there's always a next time?"

OSAC welcomed the following speakers for this webinar:

  • Professor Robert L. Quigley, M.D., D. PHIL., Senior Vice President and Regional Medical Director, Assistance and MedAire, Americas at International SOS
  • Fil Maes, Senior Director for Global Security & Safety at Visa, Inc.
