Dear OSAC community,
We look forward to our Annual Briefing all year, with preparations for the next one beginning shortly after we wrap up on the last. This early planning requires that we make decisions under the current protocol of the State Department’s Diplomacy Strong Initiative and at this time, in-person meetings are not advised. In addition, the OSAC Council has strongly recommended that the most prudent and judicious way forward is to make the call now to hold the 2021 OSAC Annual Briefing in an entirely virtual environment. And so, we are formally announcing our decision to do so here.
We are excited for the chance to welcome all OSAC members this fall regardless of physical space or travel restrictions. We’re adding even more components in international time zones, covering broad subject matters, with multiple opportunities to engage. The International Security Foundation will host an interactive virtual program to celebrate OSAC’s achievements and the ISF’s 10th anniversary. This includes a full slate of sponsorship opportunities for the virtual Annual Briefing and ISF event. For those organizations who have been stalwart ISF partners, we humbly ask for your continued support to ensure our public-private partnership endures and thrives for years to come.
We thank you for staying nimble with us as we continue to adapt and explore innovative ways to connect. We’ll keep you apprised of all updates and look forward to meeting, learning, and sharing with you wherever you are across the world.
