On Tuesday, March 8, 2011, the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) will host the next installment in a series of lunch-hour discussion forums. The focus of discussion for this roundtable will be the Suez Canal and related Maritime Issues. The goal of this roundtable forum is to allow local OSAC constituents to participate in the analytical process as OSAC continues to monitor ongoing security threats to the American private sector abroad. Presentations will be given by Bill Barnes, OSAC’s Middle East and North Africa Regional Analyst and Charles Dragonette from the Office of Naval Intelligence. Audience members are invited to offer their own assessments of the potential for ongoing and future political unrest in Egypt and other countries of strategic importance to the Suez Canal, or Maritime Interests.

As the discussion will take place during the lunch hour and food will not be provided, please feel free to bring lunch along with you to this event. Space is limited to the first 40 registrants.  Unfortunately, we do not currently have the capabilities to webcast this event, or arrange for a phone-in session.
