Friday, December 15th, 1500 hours to 1700 hours, U.S. Embassy Tokyo

Sunday, December 17th, from 1400 hours to 1600 hours, U.S. Consulate General, Osaka-Kobe
Although the demonstrations are anticipated to be peaceful, we remind U.S. citizens that even demonstrations intended to be peaceful are unpredictable and can become violent. You should avoid the areas around the demonstrations if possible, and exercise caution if you are within the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
As always, you are encouraged to review your personal security plans; remain aware of your surroundings, including local events; and monitor local news for updates. Maintain a high-level of vigilance, take appropriate steps to enhance your personal security and follow instructions of local authorities. Avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
