Europe > Bulgaria > Sofia

U.S. Embassy Sofia informs U.S. citizens that on Wednesday, June 14, organizers from “Justice for Everyone” and “For the Nature” will be staging a protest downtown at the Palace of Justice.  The protest organizers have petitioned Sofia Municipality and will be allowed to gather between the hours of 18:30 to 20:00.  Traffic jams and street closures are possible.

Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence.  Avoid areas where demonstrations are taking place and exercise caution when in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
