This Emergency Message is to alert all U.S. citizens living in Burundi of a large fire at the Central Market in Bujumbura. The cause of the fire is unknown, but it appears to be contained. U.S. citizens are advised to avoid the area surrounding the Central Market. Please contact the Embassy Duty Officer at +257 79 938 841 or the Consular Officer at +257 79 913 129 if in need of emergency Consular Services.
