Event: Government of Peru Announces Updates to Movement Restrictions (April 9, 2021)
On April 8, 2021, the Government of Peru announced the extension of the current regional alert levels and movement restrictions for an additional week, effective April 12 to April 18, 2021. The Government of Peru also announced that they will update quarantine assessments every three weeks instead of every two weeks.

- As a reminder, Peruvian national elections will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021. The curfew on this day will be at 11:00pm. No alcohol can be bought or sold starting Saturday, April 10, 2021 8:00 a.m. until Monday, April 12, 2021 at 8:00 a.m.
- The use of private vehicles is prohibited on Sundays for all alert levels except “Moderate”, and on the Sunday of the election. Walking, taking taxis, and using public transportation is allowed.
