Dear OSAC LARC Constituents;
As you are certainly aware, the increased number of cases of the COVID-19 (Corona virus disease) has resulted in special measures to avoid contamination and spread of the virus. Among these are recommendations which most corporate and government entities are undertaking including cancellation or postponement of events, and restriction of travel except for mission critical needs.
We recognize that as security professionals we have a responsibility to lead by example and ensure that our own membership and supporting personnel are protected from potential spread of or infection from this virus. As such, we must postpone our Spring LARC Conference to October 6, 2020. Our intention is to move ahead with the same panels, lecturers and participants as had been planned. It is our hope that the situation will normalize by then and that we will be able to provide a healthy, safe and fruitful event.
We would like to thank all of our sponsors who planned to support our April event: PICA, Shell, Allied Universal, Genric Security, Bloomberg, Fam International Security, SMI Security Services, Helmerich & Payne, and VDI. We will be reaching out to all of our sponsors to thank them again for their generous support and to see if they will transfer their pledges to our October 6th LARC meeting at FIU. We sincerely look forward to their continued support in October.
For targeted, regionally-focused discussions on COVID-19, OSAC encourages you to participate in the following Regional Councils (OSAC.gov login required; available to OSAC Constituent organizations only):
