At around 6:00 am on October 28, five Afghan militants attacked a guesthouse used by the United Nations and other foreign organizations in the Shar-e Now neighborhood of Kabul. Five international UN workers, including one American, were among the 11 who died in the attacks. Additionally, militants fired four rockets at the Presidential Palace.
